From the beginning, Bob and Lola have practiced, preached and surrounded themselves with people who believe in the same values they do.  One of their favorite quotes is from Tom Watson, Sr., founder of IBM, when he said"  "I believe the real difference between success and failure in a corporation can very often be traced to the question of how well the organization brings out the great energies and talents of its people." and Watson Jr. carried on that tradition saying: "the basic philosophy, spirit, and drive of an organization have far more to do with its relative achievements than do technological or economic resources, organizational structure, innovation, and timing."

The executive summary of TravelKare's business plan contains: "We have a significant belief that a management philosophy that is based on the intangibles of attitude, people oriented, encouraging creativity, emphasizing the positive, service oriented, and CARING, will pay more dividends than traditional watching the books, productivity, etc. Related to this, under MARKETING,  "we will act more as a consultant to the provider, than a vendor. We will respond promptly and personally to problems, and solve all with a win-win scenario, if at all possible."

Each of these prompted the adoption of the following Motto, Values and Vision, which we summarize as our "philosophy"

Motto:

Journey
Do not follow where the path may lead,
Go instead
Where there is no path,
And leave a Trail!

Values:

  • Personal Relationships
  • Quality
  • Honesty / Integrity
  • Constructive Conflict
  • Profitability
